CTA Blue Line Train Crash at O’Hare: Know Your Legal Rights
More than 30 people were injured on March 24, 2014 when a CTA Blue Line train ran into a platform at O’Hare and came to rest on an escalator. All of the injured were aboard the train and were taken in fair or good condition to four area hospitals.
The eight-car train was wedged near the top of an escalator used by commuters at the Blue Line terminal. The CTA said that the cause of the accident remained under investigation, although speed may be a factor. The operator will also undergo drug and alcohol tests as part of standard procedure.
As the investigation continues, victims will have many questions about their legal rights. If you or a loved one was injured, call the accident lawyers at Shapiro, Cohen and Basinger, Ltd. today for a free legal consultation.
